　　The book gives a detailed account of the construction and development of Hong Kong, which have been the duties of Civil Engineering Bureau over the past 160 years, including all large land development plans of reclamation before and after the War.The book consists of four parts: (1) Birth of the City of Victoria(1843-1883); (2) Expansion of the City Nucleus (1883-1945); (3) New Land Formation (1946-1982); (4) Multi-Nucleus Expansion (1982-2003).
