The Predator State: How Conservatives Abandoned the Free Market and Why Liberals Should Too

Galbraith suggests that, under the Bush administration, conservatives have clearly abandoned the Reagan dogma and replaced it with crony capitalism. James K. Galbraith teaches economics at the LBJ School of Public Affair at the University of Texas. Having served on the staff of the U.S. Congress, including Executive Director of the Joint Economic Committee, he holds degrees in economics from Harvard and Yale. Galbraith lives in Austin, Texas.
