Norman Philip Black served, as a U.S. Navy Journalist, in the western Pacific; reported for UPI and AP, in New York City, and for the Newark Evening and Sunday News, in New Jersey. He later worked in public relations, financial relations, and governmental relations, for major companies. His other books are Combat Veterans’ Stories. Volume 1, which presents autobiographies and biographies of men that fought in North Africa and Europe, and Volume 2, which presents autobiographies and a biography of men that fought on Pacific islands, in China, and in Burma. Black has a diploma from the U.S. Navy’s Journalist "A" School; a B.A. and M.S. in Education, from Wagner College; and an M.S. in Journalism, from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
