He achieved an All-American standard time in the 60 meter indoor dash. In 2011, his pentathlon score ranked #4 in the United States for his competitive age group. Over a period of three years, Art spent eleven days immersed in fantasy camps and attending team practices to study the Win Forever coaching philosophy of Coach Pete Carroll and the USC Trojans.
