Barnaby has many friends, both at his home in the north of England and in the beautiful countryside surrounding it. First there are Dilly and Bumble, his labrador "sisters", then there's Bobbin the Robin who visits the bird table every day. The friendly dogs he meets on his walk are always interested in what he has to say, but the deer steer clear of him, even though he's on the leash. The Highland cattle that belong to dad's friend are just a little bit scary--those long horns, all that hair--but the chickens are always up for a game of "chase me". His owner, award-winning photographer Villager Jim, captures these meetings on camera, allowing us all into Barnaby's world.

Villager Jim has been described as the Banksy of wildlife photography, his identity a closely-guarded secret. His photographs have won awards and one of them--＂After the Walk＂--is the most-viewed Labrador picture in the world.
