Miss Kay has had years of experience with children of all ages. Although her degrees are in nursing and business management, she has spent more than 20 years working with children through volunteer programs such as teaching Sidewalk Sunday school through community outreach programs. She also teaches Sunday school to first and second grade and is a middle school/high school group leader and mentor, and camp nurse for middle school church camp. Additionally, she has taken her experiences to third world countries teaching vacation Bible school in Haiti and Honduras. She retired from a large health insurance company after 23 years and now devotes most of her time serving others through various programs she is affiliated with. She was inspired to write a children’s book on accounting as her grandchildren have begun earning and learning to save, spend, tithe, and even "special" savings for others.
