This book is your compass from start to finish. If you have an idea for a book you want to write, but do not know where to start, then the early chapters of this book will help you organize your ideas and create the framework for your book. Once you have your book finished, we go through three Amazon programs to get it out to the world. We will publish your eBook using Kindle Direct Publishing, then get printed with CreateSpace, and finally explore creating an audiobook with ACX. This book guides you through the setup process of all of these programs and explains the best royalty and distribution options for you as a beginning author. Self-publishing is very rewarding and allows you to get your ideas and writing to the world at little to no cost. Amazon has large distribution channels and by using them, we can maximize our exposure. This book combines portions of my short series, Becoming an Author, along with additional tips and strategies to maximize your potential.

Nathan Neil is an author, philanthropist, serial entrepreneur, technology enthusiast, active blogger, and has self-published several books. Neil grew up in a small town in south central PA and started working at a young age. Before starting college, Neil had already acquired management experience along with launching an educational software system. By 2012, Neil had already begun to establish a name for himself in computer technology. Neil won multiple awards for his research including: Grace Murray Hopper Prize (2006, 2007, 2008), Intel Excellence in Computer Science Award (2007, 2008), Scientific American Award (2008), Francis Bacon Prize (2008), Yale Science and Engineering Award (2007), and an Undergraduate Research Award at his alma mater, Shippensburg University. Neil holds a BSBA in Management of Information Systems from John L. Grove College of Business at Shippensburg University. While finishing up his senior year at Shippensburg University, Neil started working for, technology consulting firm, Solinkit as Manager of Technology and Business Services. While working at Solinkit, Neil formed a strong consulting background in areas of networking, data security, project management, and technology under the leadership of his mentor, James Sulfare Jr. Neil has a strong passion for leadership, along with technology innovations, and co-founded The Scotland Summit, which is an annual event held on the Scotland Campus in Scotland, PA to promote new ideas
